I think it's only fair to say that I will be unable to continue the rp we started as several RL issues have come up which are now consuming most, if not all, of my time:
Issue 1: School. I have started full time education at Edsion State College. This means I be spending at least 15 hours a week studying (for one course). I have another course I will be taking which is writing intensive, and that course will interrupt my free time.
Issue 2: Volunteer Work: I am currently volunteering in the rehab department at Fawcett Memorial Hospital (Ties in with my career goal), as well as I volunteer at my church both acting as assistant youth leader and singing in our church praise and worship band.

As much as I'd like to stay and rp with you all, and as much as I've enjoyed this experience, I feel that due to my life becoming more and more busy it's not fair on the rest you for me to show up then disappear like I've done. Basically, by leaving the rp "hanging" or in "limbo", I have left the rest of the group at a disadvantage. I take rping seriously in that I like to do my research and plan out in advance how to set up a dungeon etc...in order to make everyone experience a good one.

Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to continue to do that.

Thank you very much for taking the time to rp with me. Thank you for being lovely rp partners and friends. Now I must lift off the crown of King Max and hand over the cyborg Bunnie Rabbot, and bid you all a fond farewell.

xx C.

All right. For some strange reason I can't get my <lj user="blue_katri"> account to post here. So, here  I go.

I see that I haven't been the only one whose fallen out of the RP loop here. I assure you, I didn't leave you by choice.
College was chaos and I barely had time to breathe, much less check my email.

But, I'm back at home for the Christmas break, with a lot more time on my hands.  I hope to be able to continue playing with you guys over the break, if that's all right.

Hi I'm just touching base with you all. We are moved over, but still in a transition stage as we are apartment/house hunting.

Once things become more stable I will be able to post more. :(

I'm also job hunting as well.

Anyways, thanks for your patience with me.

Okay, guys. Once again, we've slowed to a crawl. I know at this time of year everyone is busy; couer_de_leon is occupied with moving across an ocean, blue_katri is at school with limited net access, and many others are busy with either school or jobs gearing up for the holidays. Right now, the only active thread is here, with this thread awaiting planned interference from Jack D'Roo and the Emerald Hunt threads stagnant.

My question is, do we need a hiatus to carry us through the holiday season? Or should we just keep going at the current pace?

The Triumphant Return
Okay, gang. STILL a little shaky on the 'web, but it's been on for several hours at a time now so I am going to declare A RETURN. I'll be going around to reply to hanging threads now.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled RP.

6:08 pm
Hey all, just another quick update. Our Internet has been very shaky of late, so we are not officially 'back'. However, I'm back at work now (the store is open for limited hours due to curfew), and Houston is starting to come back together.

Hopefully by next week I'll really be back. See you then.

Ike struck Houston directly early this morning, complete with floods, shattered windows, and downed trees. Galveston actually took the worst of it, as evidenced in news videos you've probably all seen; downtown Houston took the worst of it in this area. My neighborhood is... surprisingly okay. Both of our large trees are still up. A neighbor's pine fell, but missed all houses and is merely blocking one of the three routes out of the neighborhood. Our back fence is down, and the gate not just off but in pieces, but all in all cats, cars, house, and people are all unharmed. We lost power early this morning(a housemate claims it was at one thirty, but I clearly remember having power as late as four), and - astoundingly - came back on at noon.

The bookstore where I work is also undamaged aside from the landscape; I have not yet been contacted about reopening. (There's no power in the center, and even if there where there's hardly a point in opening when the city's under curfew for about half our business day, but you never know what those nutty corporate types will do.) We have friends staying over because they've lost power as well; some estimates give six weeks before Houston is fully online. fancyrobostache and I will be staying a bit scarce for the next few days as my connection is tenuous and there's cleanup to be done. More news as I've got it!

Hurricanes and Moving

Just a fast update.

As of October 1st I will be scarce from the internet nevermind being able to RP the way I'd like to. This is due to the fact that I am going to be moving to the USA, I will be trying to wrap up the rp involving Gehenna and the Cathedral in this time period of the next two weeks. I want to push the characters through so that the rest of you can start your own RP w/o waiting on me.

I have really enjoyed rping with everyone, and I understand that due to events beyond everyones control we have all been all over the place and posting has been for the most part difficult. I am so glad people have been extremely patient and understanding during this time. For those who are new to this game I welcome you, and encourage you to enjoy the forums. To really throw yourself into the game and make it work for you.

Kindest Regards

Miss Cassidy aka King Max/Vortigern/Ixus Naugus and his menagerie of beasts

Roster Correction and Hurricane Update
All right - I made an error in removing snivelykintobor; it seems some posts weren't showing on my computer. I apologize for the mistake and will add him back in.

In the future, if an inactivity message is sent please respond to the message when you start posting again! It makes it easier to track who received the messages and who didn't.

Hurricane Hiatus
Hi everyone. As you know, Hurricane Ike is headed for the Texas coast. The city hasn't called for evacuations, but Houston/Harris County is in the process of shutting down. fancyrobostache and I will probably be scarce for the next few days because of the storm; I'll let you know more as soon as I know.

Weekly Update!
Hello everyone!

First of all, this week we have a new player for Uncle Chuck under fancyrobostache, picking up where the previous player left off. I've been playing with this person for a long time, and I'm really pleased to have finally convinced her to come aboard.

Second, we have a new Robotnik Supporter to join Jack and Park - Dr. Akela Tibor under dr_tibor, whose profile can be found here.

Unfortunately, I've had to eject our Snively for inactivity. Until we have a new one, anyone who needs Snively can use him as an NPC in regular RP posts.

That's all for now - have a good week!

New Player and The School Year Begins!
All right! We have another new player in our ranks, elusive_harlot as Rouge the Bat. For information on how she's going to fit in here, please check out her character essay. Also, remember that we still need regional villains to work with Park and Jack; if you contribute such a villain, you are also entitled to an extra OC if you wish.

In other news, school has started in most parts of the United States; as far as I know, the last schools opened up after Labor Day this past Monday. Inactivity rules ARE still in effect, but please keep in mind that a lot of our players are in classes now and can't post as frequently. Hallowthanksmas is also upon us, so people may be bogged down a little there too.

In other business, National Novel Writing Month is in November. Do we have any NaNoWriMo participants in the game? If so, would you prefer a November hiatus to work on your nanovel, or should the RP run as normal?

New Player and Player Inactivity
All right, guys. First of all, we have a new player - please welcome Lupe under alpha_lupe, and check out her art and fanfiction here.

Second order of business - our Uncle Chuck, uncle_hedgey, is under warning. I attempted to contact this player a week ago; after another week, on August 31, the character goes up for grabs. A warning has also been sent to snivelykintobor; as I was admittedly not as on the ball with this one, this player has until September 7.

Remember, let us know in knotholecentral if you need to go on hiatus. We'll be glad to put your character on hold if we know what's going on.

ETA: Chuck's player has decided to drop him; it's an unfortunate loss as this was a very good player and an all-around nice person. However... there IS a Chuck candidate in the works; I'm just awaiting an enterknothole entry from this candidate. Thanks!

Okay. Just a short announcement. For those who have been keeping in contact with me on AIM, I've had to change my screenname today. My new screenname on AIM is Trouble Fire Cat.

Also, again, I'm sorry for continuously holding threads up like I have, though I know I've already said that a dozen times, but I have a question for Ixus-mun.

Knuckles has a really good sense of the Master Emerald shards, so how is it that Team Sonic is apparently going the wrong way? We really should discuss these things more. :/

Rule Change: Inactivity
Okay, guys. With all the switchups and slow going here lately, it's time for rules regarding inactivity.

1. After two weeks of inactivity, you get a warning.
2. Once you reach a month of inactivity, your character goes up for grabs.

This does not apply, obviously, if you announce that you're going somewhere. Leaving for school, visiting family, going on vacation - announce it here, and your character will be held for you. Simply disappearing, however, is frustrating and unfair to other players, especially if your character is prominent in a current arc!

Right now, Chuck's player is the big offender. I've tried contacting this player both on DA and Livejournal; this player has until August 4 to get back into the game. I do have someone who wants to play Chuck, but I'm kind of hoping to keep an original if we can. ^^;

Point being - let me know if you're going to be absent!

OC Open Season
All right, gang - kyran, Snively's player, had an idea for arcs involving Robotnik supporters ranged out across Mobius. Now's a good time to start bringing them in; for one thing, Snively's about to be in some trouble, and it'll give Uncle Chuck something to do as well.

To get this going, all active players can bring in one OC villain to ally with Snively; mine is here. Additionally, anyone bringing in a villain may have an additional OC if they like - perhaps a hero from the region your Robotnik supporter controls, but he or she doesn't have to be. My example can be found here. When you have your characters, please link to their Enter Knothole profiles in a post here; as usual, a journal for the character is preferred so we can keep everyone straight. The villain does not count toward your character totals, as it is a necessity for this storyline to work.

If you have not responded to the Player Check In post, please do so by Thursday July 3.

ETA: When you make a journal for an OC, please copy their enterknothole profile into their journal profile so it can be easily accessed by other players. Before your character interacts with an OC, please read the OC's profile to prevent any misunderstandings. Thank you!

Players Please Check In Here!
Okay, boys and girls, we've had not so much a drop in activity as a total screeching halt in activity. I need to know who's still here and paying attention, so please comment here within two weeks.

Characters Up For Grabs
Okay, gang, we have several characters whose players never came in beyond claiming them, and a few more who aren't playing now. In the interest of both keeping things moving and having a good variety of active characters, several of these are going back up for grabs.

nerdyhandyman and uncle_hedgy have participated before, so they have time to respond to this post to keep their characters.

rabboticized and lupe_the_wolf never participated. Bunnie is going to King Max/Vortigern's player under southernrabbot; Lupe is officially up for grabs, so let me know if you want to play her.

Don't forget to check out posts in thegreatforest, hiddenknothole, and thegreatunknown.

Possible Future Arc
I was thinking about the likelihood of Robotnik and Snively really accomplishing what they did without any outside help, and decided that is wasn't really probable. However, in one episode Robotnik mentions that he needed to go to a meeting with his generals. I wondered who these generals were. Advanced SWATBots perhaps, or maybe sympathetic Mobians (like in Sonic Underground)? We never see them. That got me thinking that perhaps the conflict was much bigger in scope then just Robotroplis, the Great Forest, and the surrounding areas. Maybe it includes far off lands. One thing that got me was that SWATBots were being pumped out of factories around the clock, yet we never saw a built up of them in the city, and Robotnik certainly never used his legions against the Freedom Fighters. So I think that the SWATBots that were hot of the production line may have been sent to armies of Robotnik's generals, who were off fighting wars in far off lands.

My idea for an arc is that with reinforcements halted these generals may send scouts back to find out what happened (with the city destroyed the generals might not have contact with each other). On discovery of the destroyed city they fortify their lands and transform them into feudal styled states (they might have already been setup this way, sending tribute back to Robotnik). The arc could revolve around the Freedom Fighters and allies taking out these feudal lords, or visa versa.

Each feudal state could be different. One being primarily of peasants farming food for their master (the generals may not have access to a robotizer like Robotnik so they still have living things under them), another being like an occupied territory with Mobains working both for the lord and against (collaborators and partisans).

I was going to post this in knotholetales but I'm unable to post there.

I am SO SORRY! I didn't mean to disappear like that. RL swallowed me again! D:

Please forgive me! I won't do it again! ^^;;;
